A Furquisite Lunar New Year!

In our very first post, we would like to introduce Furquisite to you! As you know, Furquisite's pet phrase is "Grooming and Embellishment start from home". So as the phrase suggests, we are a platform providing grooming products and accessories which we trust. In addition, we believe very much in supporting the local brands so let's begin with one - Needle.lilLove.
Since we are still in the midst of celebrating the Lunar New Year, we would take this chance to wish everyone good fortune and health in the Year of Rat.

The hands behind Needle.LilLove happen to belong to someone who is an avid cat lover. What was once considered a granny's chore, is now making a comeback in our local art community, where talented artists like J is breathing life into her embroidery hoops. Painstakingly, she embroiders one thread at a time, be it an English alphabet (usually initials), Chinese word (like the one you see above) or even pet portraits.
What intrigued us most is the attention to detail that goes into embroidering a pet portrait, using a combination of threads that have different colour tones. Basically, all she needs is a recent portrait of your pet and she will work on achieving the different tones of your pet's fur or any other distinctive markings on it. Which means to say, all portraits are made differently and uniquely! Here are just some examples of her works so far.
We personally feel that an embroidery piece can make a great addition to your otherwise mundane desk or even hanging it up on the wall, along other existing prints. Forget printed photographs that crumple or turn yellow overtime, a customised embroidery is here to stay permanently. It's no wonder people are into it nowadays and even willing to wait up to weeks for the masterpiece to be completed.
